Equipment

  • Oven

Ingredients

Sliders

  • 1 package Kings Hawaiian original sweet rolls
  • 1 lb sliced roast beef
  • 1/2 cup French’s crispy fried onions
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese

Au Jus

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Au Jus powder mix
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  • If making the Au Jus, mix all ingredients for it together in a small bowl until all of the seasoning has dissolved.
  • Preheat oven or smoker to 350°F (175°C).
  • Remove the top portion of the rolls. On the bottom halves, layer 6 slices of provolone cheese, followed by roast beef, crispy fried onions, and then the remaining 6 slices of provolone.
  • Place the top rolls back on. Brush the tops with prepared Au Jus, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over them.
  • Bake in the oven or smoker for 15 minutes until the cheese has melted and the tops are toasted.
  • Cut into individual sliders and serve with the reserved Au Jus for dipping.

Notes

You can prepare the Au Jus a day in advance for quicker assembly. For a smoky twist, try baking the sliders in a smoker instead of the oven.
